"Red Sparrow" is definitely action packed. From beginning to end it's a whirlwind of intrigue, misdirection and the complexities of humanity. Matthews spy jargon gives the story authenticity where he lacks in character depth. He definitely tried to bring depth to his characters but fell short with the two main characters, Nathaniel Nash and Dominika Egorova.

“Daring The Pilot” Jeannie Moon – Book Review
Keely Andersen hasn’t visited her hometown more than a handful of times in the last ten years, but when her doctoral research sends her back to Marietta for the immediate future, she can’t wait to reconnect with the community and the mountains she missed so much. Of course, nothing goes as planned, and Keely’s truck breaks down a few miles outside of town. When help arrives, she finds herself face to face with her brother’s best friend – the guy she used to call big, bad and gorgeous – Jonah Clark.
“Growth and Change are Highly Overrated” by Tom Starita
Starita's writing is introspective and thought provoking at times and others a bit long winded. I enjoyed the introspection but at times there was so much of it that I found myself annoyed and side tracked from the meat of the story. My advice is to cut down on some of Lucas James' rants and avoid drawing your reader so far from the core story.

Book Review “Treachery and Truth” Katy Huth Jones
"Treachery and Truth" is a Christian novella that explores the land of Bohemia and the fall of a beloved leader. Told through the eyes of Poidevin, the narrative can be sometimes cumbersome but has an innocence that I find myself divided over.
Book Review “Biggest, Baddest Book of Bugs” Anders Hanson & Elissa Mann
The only complaint (other than the cover) that I have is that this series ( Biggest Baddest Books for Boy) is incredibly sexist. I dislike teaching children that some things are aimed toward their gender and those are the things they should be interested in. I'm very unhappy with this categorization. Bugs are for everyone. Period.
Book Review “Floor 21” Jason Luthor
My name is Jackie, and it's not so bad living here. Seriously. At least, I don't think so anyway, but I guess it's hard to say. Then again, I've never really been anywhere else. I've rarely even been below Floor 12. My parents won't let me. They say things get bad down there, so I have to stay up here, on the higher levels.
Book Review “Hibiscus Fruit” Alison Gray
Gray is a true master of deep characters. Hibiscus Fruit is so much more than just another detective novel. This is the exploration of grief, paranoia, parenting and self discovery.
Book Review “He Made Me Laugh” by Sheronda L. Barksdale
The high points are that Octavia is a very interesting character. Her emotions and reactions are unique. Her journey is unique. All of the supporting characters are interesting as well. If more time and writing was put into this novella it could make a really great book. The author has a good story here. It just needs to be fleshed out a lot more.
