One of the greatest benefits of reading is that you get to see the world through someone else's eyes. I've made it a goal this year to read and review a wider variety of stories. I have reviewed books written in a few countries other than the U.S. in the past but, I would really like to pick the pace up on that a bit this year. So, I figured the best way would be to use a random place generator and wherever it dropped me is where I would pick a book from.

Our Reading List
Our TBR pile is mountainous but we thought we would give you a sneak peek on what reviews to expect in the next week or so. We're always adding to the pile and are currently accepting review requests so don't forget to head on over to our Review Policy if you have a book you want us to consider.
The Booklist – Historical Fiction
Historical fiction is my favorite genre. It's the best of both worlds. The characters were/are real people and reading about them brings history alive in a way that textbooks just can't. The fiction bit allows the author some room for speculation. It's fun to see each authors take on the same historical characters. I think this genre keeps the past in the present and encourages people to look back and learn. It's easy to forget the past when you don't feel connected to it. Historical fiction allows it's readers to connect with those long dead and breeds empathy for those who survived or didn't some of the worst periods of our history. If we have no empathy for the horrors of the past are we bound to repeat them?
To Be Read List!
How goes it my book besties? Here’s a sneak peak into what I’ll be reading this week! I’ve received some e-mails from a few antsy authors wanting to know what’s next in my queue so I’m going to bring back the weekly TBR post. Just a reminder, I review books for free and am also the mother of two very small children…. so it may take a while to get a review out. However, as you may already know…when I do review a book I take care to explain any issues I have with the book as well as heap on praise when a book blows me off my feet! I love reviewing books and I hope that by doing so I am connecting readers with awesome stories! Click on the covers to get more information about each book! If you have read any of the books on my list hit me up in the comments and let me know what you thought of it! No spoilers though! Ain’t nobody got time for that.
Book Review Schedule
Hi bookland! How goes it? I've recently had a few authors inquire when their books were up for review. Here's a list of the next 5 books that you can expect to see reviews for. If your book isn't on this list, keep your eyes peeled. I'll get to it. This list is not a "To Be Read" list. I've already read these books. I don't always have time to write a review the second I finish reading. This is why I keep notes about each book I read and often will write up parts of the review while I'm reading. Enjoy!

What Am I Reading?
This weeks book list is two completely different genres. I love when that happens. It really helps keep the monotony at bay. Since I've been so far behind on my review submissions, I haven't read any mainstream books to balance it out. Fortunately, I've been lucky that the last few review books I've read were … Continue reading What Am I Reading?
