The beginning of this book was really good. The battle and peace treaty were a good way to hook the reader quickly. The descriptions of Janalya's village and the elemental village are great.
This story celebrates learning in creative ways. It celebrates the individuality of children. It reminds us that we are all something special because we are our own person.
