Now for the review. "SideShow" takes place before "Delivering Virtue" and "Fortuna and the Scapegrace". As I have read the latter two it was really fun to get a picture of who Didier was before those two great adventures take place. "SideShow" is both a great introductory and companion to flesh out the world of Didier Rain. If you start with "SideShow" you'll be hooked. For so little pages, it does a great job of showing the complexities of the world through the eyes of my favorite swashbuckling dandy.
How goes it my fellow bibliophiles? 2016 has been one hell of a year. This year we have seen the death of many a beloved celebrity, a sketchy election and monumental social action. As for books, well, this year I have read some truly amazing stories. From fiction to non-fiction, my world has been rocked by the talent and bravery of so many authors. AlliesOpinions reviews a wide range of genres and I know there is something for every one this list! I am proud to present my picks for your viewing pleasure.
How does it work? Well, I will put two different covers of the same book or different books and you must judge which book you would most likely pick up based ONLY on the cover! Don't forget to explain your choice.

The one quirk I have is that I always work on a desk that is completely uncluttered. No pictures, no reference books, no scraps of paper with inspirational sayings. It’s just me, my computer, and a bare table pushed up against a blank wall. I try to rely completely on what I know, or what’s hidden in my memory. Call it a blank canvas.

I would say it's "The Odyssey" of the wild west with a swashbuckling dandy narrating and a journey of prophecy and magical realism. Add a pile of depraved characters and stir.
